week 5

This week the class all reviewed eachothers work and gave eachother feed back on what they thought was good, and what they thought could be improved in our magazines. I got some constructive criticisms, which helped me to view my project from an outsiders perspective and allowed me to improve my magazine. Taking the advice on board from  my class, i went on to create more stories for my front cover, adding more colour to the fonts as well as choosing a new font style that would be more readable. Also this week i took some more photos for my contents page; a mid shot of a male DJ and a photograph in a club scene. I used photoshop this time also mainly using the contrast and brightness tools to make the photos look high quality.

week 4

This week, i started to work ony my double page spread further. I placed my photograph of my DJ into my document so that it would cover one A4 side, leaving the other side for my article. I created three columns for my article and placed the article in. I had to adjust the sizing of my article a few times as well a sthe sizing of the columns to insure it all looked neatly and evenly presented. I used the same font as my mast head for the heading of the double page spread which was just simply 'Kimi Nandez'. I wrote a small intoduction to the article underneath the heading to help lead into the writing, as well as picking out a quote from my article to place next to the image to comply with the codes and conventions of most music magazines and because i believed it made it look more proffesional and more readable.
