The fusion magazine has also included the schools slogan onto the cover, ’every generation needs a revolution’, I like the idea of this but our school does not have a slogan. However I will include the school logo onto the front cover.
Fusion uses a very bold and large font for the title of their magazine, as well as using a smaller bold font for the sub-headings on the cover. This technique helps to highlight the important points that are included in the magazine and gives the reader an insight into what they should expect to find in the magazine. I will definitely be taking this into consideration when making my own school magazine to make it as eye catching and appealing as possible.
In the contents, the school have included the recycling sign as well as a little box of text explaining that the paper that the school are choosing to use for their magazine is recycled. This shows that the school are supporting preservation of the environment and shows the school is very innovative. I would incorporate this into my magazine, although I would not be able to guarantee that I would be able to get recycled paper so will probably not do this.
The contents page is typically quite self-expressive, with quite a large title, page numbers and then some text to explain what this page will include. However, I like the fact that the contents page uses a lot of colour in the fonts of the sub-headings.
A large, artistic picture has been placed into the contents page of a cassette, which helps to make the contents page a bit more exciting and interesting, this also further helps to add more colour to the page. I will absolutely be using some sort of picture or photograph in my contents page as i believe it will help show further what my magazine is about.
